Founding proposition
XELON is a proposed lightweight, local-first improvement protocol/framework for existing AI agents. Its cycle is eXecute → Evaluate → Learn → Optimize → Next → Repeat. It is not a model, hosted agent, or replacement for an agent system.
The central hypothesis is: Does XELON make AI agents measurably better at completing tasks? It has not yet been experimentally proven. Coding agents are the first potential validation domain, not the project’s permanent scope.
Local-first operation, agent/model independence, user-controlled compute and data,
measurable improvement, explicit stop conditions, and an intended open-source
core guide the proposed work. A possible CLI, npx xelon init, remains unimplemented.
Contents and evidence
This initial package contains exactly:

Before creating the founding commit, the local working tree was empty apart from
Git metadata, and HEAD had no existing commit. No branch or tag refs existed.
An internal Codex capture ref pointed to Git’s empty tree, not a commit. The package is
to be preserved in one signed root commit titled
docs: establish XELON founding record.
Pre-commit SHA-256 hashes, the full commit identifier, signature fingerprint, and verification results are reported separately after commit creation. Keeping that report outside this package avoids a self-referential hash or commit identifier. The commit must be checked for a valid SSH signature using the configured XELON signing key, and its document bytes compared with the pre-commit hashes.
Boundaries and subsequent work
This is a versioned provenance record, not government IP registration. No company, trademark registration, patent, domain-registration date, customers, benchmarks, or working runtime capabilities are asserted. No open-source license is granted.
After the signed founding commit, work pauses for founder approval. No push or tag is authorized at that point. Website work requires subsequent approval, must keep these signed founding documents intact, and must distinguish demonstrations from implemented capabilities and measured results. Deployment, DNS changes, and making the repository public are outside the authorized scope.
